Is it just me or does the change from high school to college mean the switch from the "ever-so-popular" Myspace to more sophisticated Facebook? Have you freshman even noticed? Here we are a month into school, and you can probably count on both hands how many times you have "checked" your myspace. If you don't follow this "trend" of newly entered freshman then has your myspace been as active as those four years of high school? Get the point you apparently needed that new webpage to add to your list. You know the "how many web pages can I possibly have list" like Xanga, Life Journal, Myspace, Yearbook, Friendster, and now Facebook. Everyone gets the latest webpage because it's the thing to do or all of their friends did it.
Basically, I switched to Facebook because Myspace got so boring, and I can admit all I was in for was for picture comments. Don't lie you were too!! But what does Facebook have to offer? Well Facebook is a lot easier than myspace, you don't have go searching the internet to find the best layout for you page, or know how to write script to make your page YOURS. Also Facebook is very organized, you can find a long lost friend in less than five minutes unlike the twenty minute search on myspace. Another thing that draws college students to Facebook is the networking. You can see who is going to your college next fall and who is moving to California without going through your cell phone and giving everyone a call. Also if you absolutely love taking pictures at every single social event you were ever invited to Facebook lets you post them all without having to pick your favorites to post on myspace so your friends can comment and "photobucketing" the rest to post on your main page. No offense to Myspace but that was too much work. So check out Facebook, if you are those five people on campus who don't have one and join the network we are all waiting.
PS. The only down side but fun side to Facebook is all the new applications. They can get annoying and ridicules but they can also bring that smile to your face when you are completely bored. So add me as a friend if you get bored.
