1st picture: The Politically Incorrect Club toured the historic Gen. James Longstreet Piedmont Hotel Museum on Saturday, April 18, near downtown Gainesville. Gen. Longstreet was the second-highest ranking Confederate general in the War Between the States and owned this hotel in the late 19th century. Many historic notables stayed here as his guests, including President Woodrow Wilson, Gen. Joe Johnston, Gen. Dan Sickles, Henry Grady, and Joel Chandler Harris.
2nd picture: After touring the Piedmont Hotel Museum, several students visited Gen. Longstreet's grave at Gainesville's beautiful Alta Vista Cemetery. Left to right are Matthew Lipscomb-Ross, Renee Davenport, Ryan Rodriguez, and Amy Peacock.
3rd picture: On Saturday, April 25, the Politically Incorrect Club toured the historic Winder home of the legendary U.S. Sen. Richard Russell.
4th picture: After touring the Sen. Russell property, several students, family, and friends toured the recently renovated Barrow County History Museum in the old historic jail in downtown Winder.
